What Does a Typical Day Look Like for Your Cat at Xopaws Catsitting?
Ever wondered what your cat actually does all day when they are boarding with me at Xopaws Catsitting?
One of the things I love most about home-based cat boarding in Dubai is that your cat isn’t simply put in a room and left alone for most of the day.
They become part of my daily routine!
My goal is to make their stay feel as much like home as possible, while giving them lots of love, attention, playtime, cuddles and companionship throughout the day.
So, here is a little peek into what a typical day looks like when your cat stays with me at Xopaws Catsitting.
Good Morning, Kitty!
My mornings usually start when your cats decide it is time for me to wake up!
If your cat is an early riser and starts asking for breakfast, I am up and ready to feed them.
If your cat requires early morning medication, I make sure their medication is given according to your instructions.
And if your cat follows a specific feeding schedule at home, I will follow that schedule as closely as possible. Keeping their normal routine is important, especially when they are staying somewhere new.
Once breakfast is finished, it is time for the litter boxes.
I scoop your cat’s litter box and sanitize the scoop and the surrounding litter box area to keep everything clean and fresh.
Clean litter boxes are very important to me because I want your cat to always have a comfortable and hygienic place to do their business.
Morning Cuddles, Playtime & Sofa Time
Once breakfast and litter duty are finished, it is time for the fun part!
I spend time giving your cat lots of attention, depending on what they enjoy.
This can mean:
- Cuddles and kisses
- Playtime with their favourite toys
- Treats
- Chasing toys
- Wand toys
- Interactive and puzzle toys
- Scratching and climbing
- Or simply relaxing together on the sofa
Yes, your cat can absolutely have sofa companionship while I watch TV!
Some cats want to sit beside me.
Some want to sleep on the sofa.
Some want to play.
And some just want to be near their human and observe everything I am doing.
I let your cat decide what makes them comfortable.
Afternoon Photo & Video Update
By the afternoon, your cat has usually had some breakfast, playtime, cuddles and plenty of attention.
This is when I will send you a photo or video update so you can see how your furry baby is doing.
I know how much you miss your cat when you are travelling, so I love being able to give you a little glimpse into their day.
You don’t have to wonder what they are doing.
You get to see them!
Afternoon Nap Time
After all that excitement, it is usually time for a good cat nap.
Cats are professional sleepers, after all!
While your cat is enjoying their afternoon nap, I start preparing their afternoon snack or light meal.
If you have given me specific instructions about what, when and how much they should eat, I follow your instructions and their normal routine as closely as possible.
Whether your cat prefers a small afternoon snack or a light meal, I make sure they get exactly what you have asked me to provide.
Evening Time!
And then…
The zoomies begin!
As the afternoon turns into evening, your cat may suddenly wake up feeling refreshed and ready for action.
This is when the house can become a little more lively!
There may be running, jumping, chasing toys, climbing the cat tree, batting toys around and generally having a wonderful time.
I prepare your cat’s dinner while they supervise me, of course.
And this is also when I have my own dinner!
Your cat eats.
I eat.
Everyone is happy.
More Playtime & Evening Litter Duty
After dinner, we have another round of playtime and attention.
Depending on your cat’s personality, this could mean more wand toys, chase toys, cuddles, treats or simply hanging out together.
Then it is time for the second litter box clean of the day.
I scoop the litter boxes again and make sure the area is clean and fresh before we settle down for the night.
I also sweep the floors and wipe down furniture and the areas your cats have been enjoying throughout the day.
I want their boarding environment to stay clean, fresh and comfortable from morning until bedtime.
Bedtime at Your Cat’s Home Away From Home
Once everything is clean and your cat is ready to settle down, it is bedtime.
But here’s something your cat might really love…
My bedroom door is always open for your cats to sleep with us too!
If your cat likes sleeping on the bed, they are welcome to join us.
Some cats prefer their own cozy bed or favourite sleeping spot, while others want to curl up beside me.
I let them choose.
Because when your cat is staying at Xopaws Catsitting, I want them to feel at home.
And finally…
Goodnight, kitty!
Time for everyone to get some sleep.
Until tomorrow morning, when we wake up and do it all over again!
Breakfast.
Clean litter.
Cuddles.
Playtime.
Treats.
Sofa time.
Afternoon snack.
Photo and video updates.
Naps.
Evening zoomies.
Dinner.
More playtime.
Another clean litter box.
A clean home.
And lots and lots of love.
